Dear students,

The SGN-day 2023 is fast approaching. We are very much looking forward to this exciting day, centered around the theme taboo(breaking). We’ll start the day of at the Oudemanhuispoort, where UvA teachers/staff members prof dr. Serena Ferente, dr. Gerard Aalders, Wilma van den Brink, dr. Lisa Kattenberg and dr. Tim Verlaan will give their own takes on the history of taboos.

We’ll continue our programma with a historical boat tour over the Amsterdam canals, a pub crawl through the centre, and finish the day off with a party in Cafe Leentje.

De SGN-dag 2023 komt er nu bijna aan! Wij kijken ontzette

nd uit naar deze enerverende dag, waarbij het thema ‘Taboe(doorbrekend)’ centraal staat. We beginnen de dag op de Oudemanhuispoort, waar UvA docenten/stafleden prof. dr. Serena Ferente, dr. Gérard Aalders, Wilma van den Brink, dr. Lisa Kattenberg en dr. Tim Verlaan, hun eigen (historische en historiserende) draai zullen geven aan het thema taboe(doorbrekend).

We vervolgens ons programma met een historische boottocht over de Amsterdamse grachten, een historische kroegentocht langs iconische kroegen in de Amsterdamse binnenstad, en eindigen met een afsluitend feest in Café Leentje.
